Best forward:  Jonathan Toews

If that wasn’t a given, there’s something wrong with you.  He’s one of the best all-around players and leaders in the NHL.  ”Toews recorded 57 points in 59 regular-season games and was among the league’s point leaders when he went out with an injury.”  His faceoff percentage was 59.4%, and he made an amazing comeback after his injury, scoring a goal in his second shift back.

Best defenseman: Brent Seabrook

This is Seabrook’s second consecutive season where he’s been chosen the best defenseman.  His 198 hits tied him for ninth among NHL defensmen, and he had 165 blocked shots.  Seabrook had a career low of 22 penalty minutes, and he was the team’s top penalty killer, “averaging 2:28 per game shorthanded.”
